Survey: Satisfaction with domestic group tours increases in 3rd quarter
According to the China Tourism Academy’s survey, in the third quarter of 2010, its campaign to improve the quality of tourism services was effective in improving tourists’ satisfaction in the group tours. Meanwhile, there is still much need for improvement with regard to the satisfaction of inbound tourists and domestic individual travelers.
Tourist satisfaction in 60 percent of the sample cities increased, but there was an apparent polarized trend in the level of tourists’ satisfaction in sample cities. According to the onsite survey of China’s domestic tourists in the third quarter of 2010, the satisfaction index was 82.05. The satisfaction of domestic group tours was 87.95, up 2.90 compared to the previous quarter.
Compared to the previous quarter, domestic individual travelers’ satisfaction rate and that of inbound tourists have declined. Since 2009, the satisfaction rate of domestic group tours has always been higher than that of the domestic individual travelers’, which shows that the service quality and management level of travel agencies are increasing steadily.
